Why Us?

Just a few locals trying to help you Remember The Catch

At Fishin’ Prints, our story began in 2023 with a passion for fishing and art. Our founders, Zach and Kendyl, dedicated anglers, discovered the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku as a way to preserve the memory of each catch without the high cost of taxidermy. After mastering the traditional method, they saw an opportunity to make it better—more accessible, user-friendly, and safe for everyone.

After two years of prototyping, we revolutionized Gyotaku with our DIY Fish Printing Kit. Unlike traditional methods that use sumi ink (made from burnt oil ashes and water, unsafe for consumption), our kits feature all-natural, food-grade cuttlefish ink. This means you can print your catch and still enjoy it for dinner, worry-free. Our kits include everything you need—Two 36"x18" cloth sheets, a paintbrush, shop rags, ink tray, and enough ink for two full printing sessions—just add your fish!

What sets us apart? Our process is designed for everyone, from seasoned anglers to families looking for a fun, creative activity. No complicated steps, no toxic materials—just a simple, safe way to create stunning fish art. We launched Fishin’ Prints at the Florida Saltwater Fishing Expo, where anglers and artists alike fell in love with the ability to Remember The Catch in a unique, affordable way.

Unlike competitors, our kits prioritize quality, safety, and ease. We’ve taken a centuries-old art form and made it modern, sustainable, and accessible. Whether you’re commemorating a trophy fish or crafting a keepsake with loved ones, Fishin’ Prints delivers an experience that’s as memorable as your catch.
